How to use a light switch in 4 easy steps.
Step 1. Locate the switch. Switches are often located on the left or right of the wall, upon entering a room.
Step 2. Push the switch up or down. Using one or more fingers, apply pressure to the bottom of the switch, or to the top, depending on the direction you would like the switch to go. Pushing the switch up typically means "ON", while pushing the switch down usually means "OFF".
Step 3. Inspect the light. To see if you successfully used the light switch, inspect the fixture. If the light was off and you flipped the switch, the light should now be on.

Step 4. (optional) Practice. Practice makes perfect. You can test out many other lights in the home, just by using your finger! Before voice activation and "The Clapper 2077" were introduced, people had to follow these steps on a daily basis. Ceiling light fixtures come in many varieties, and can seem intimidating. However, with practice and the support of friends and family, you can flip a switch just like the old days!
This guide is for informational purposes only. These steps will not work with homes eqipped with Apple Link or Google Home. Please consult an electrician before playing with electricity. Always wear safety goggles and gloves before trying anything on your own.
